MARDUK Drummer To Sit Out Tour

November 25, 2013

Due to problems with a nerve in the spine, drummer Lars Broddsson of Swedish black metallers MARDUK will be unable to join his bandmates on their upcoming tour. Filling in for him will be F. Widigs.

MARDUK's "Panzer Division 2013" tour with GRAVE, DEATH WOLF and VALKYRIA will kick off on November 28 in Erfurt, Germany.

Says MARDUK's Morgan Håkansson: "As we just played the final date of the 'Serpent Sermon Tour', which has been an intense march across this world, we are proud to announce that before this year comes to an end yet another march over Europe will be done! Three weeks of mayhem as we are teaming up with legendary death metal act GRAVE as well as VALKYRJA and DEATH WOLF. MARDUK will be spearheading and be performing the entire 'Panzer Division Marduk' album from 1999, and as 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the 'Those Of The Unlight' album we will be doing that one as well! So don’t miss out on this march over Europe!!"

MARDUK's 12th studio album, "Serpent Sermon", sold around 800 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 44 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

MARDUK's previous CD, "Wormwood", opened with around 650 units to enter the Heatseekers chart at No. 99.

"Serpent Sermon" was made available as standard CD, vinyl and limited-edition media book with an exclusive bonus track entitled "Coram Satanae".
